Coil
Live at the Il Violino e la Selce Festival
Corte Malatestiana, Fano, IT
July 26, 2002 (often mislabeled as July 28, 2002)
AMT #2 / MIX
Possible lineage: PAL DV(?) - ? - DVDr - DVD (duplicator) - Direct Stream demux of video and audio (m2v, wav) - wav to flac via official flac exe (same bit depth / frequency range) - video and audio muxed to mkv via MKVToolnix 13.0.0
The video looks good. Probably 1st or at worst 2nd gen. Depends on whether or not the intro text and the gig footage were put on the original DVDr as separate files or if they were rendered into one file in some video editor before being burned onto the DVDr.
Released on an unofficial DVDr not even listed on Discogs (and given to me by a very good friend of mine). The first four songs are off AMT #2 and are complete, but then after “Ostia” it abruptly cuts into “An Unearthly Red” from AMT #1; the rest of the songs and the backstage footage are of AMT #1. No idea if more footage of AMT #2 was made. AMT #1 was the video thujone23 released in conjunction with Black Sun Productions in widescreen on Youtube, which you can find here and here:
